Haas upgrades DS-30Y turning center

Oct. 10, 2023
It offers streamlined production, reduced cycle times and increased part accuracy.

DS-30Y Haas’ DS-30Y is a Y-axis turning center that combines dual-spindle turning with Y-axis, C-axis, and live tooling capabilities. Its updated design provides a generous work envelope inside a compact footprint. It comes standard with a 12-station BMT65 turret and synchronized C-axis for versatile four-axis capability. Its opposed spindles allow on-the-fly part pass-off.

What’s new? The updated DS-30Y.

Benefits Streamlined production, reduced cycle times and increased part accuracy. The ability to handle off-center milling, drilling and tapping lets operators finish more-complex parts with a single setup for “done-in-one” machining. Haas said the DS-30Y offers best-in-class performance and value, and its capabilities make it ideal for high-volume, high-production environments. When combined with Haas’ Robot Package, customers get a fully automated system that can run unattended for extended periods.
