Streamrunner adds multicolor capabilities

Hasco's additively manufactured hot runners also save energy and costs.
July 25, 2023

Streamrunner Multicolour Hasco’s Streamrunner is an additively manufactured hot runner that can be designed with flow channels that avoid traditional pitfalls of sharp edges and areas with poor flow-through properties. This can improve part quality because lower shear rates are imposed on the melt, and can allow for faster color changes.

What’s new?  The Streamrunner Multicolour, available as a fully wired modular system or as a completely assembled hot half.

Benefits The ability to integrate multiple colors or different resins within the hot runner, which offers new possibilities for injection molded part design. Streamrunner Multicolour promotes energy and cost savings; its compact design allows molds to be smaller, and those molds can then be used on smaller injection molding machines. Additional savings result from the low mass of the manifold block, which also requires less energy consumption.
