Machining center packs power in a compact size

WFL Millturn's M20 can handle difficult materials and integrate automation.
Oct. 5, 2021

M20 Millturn This machining center from WFL Millturn provides a compact, powerful and robust platform for demanding applications. It is constructed of spheroidal graphite iron, which enhances its stability and provides exceptional damping properties, as well as increases the machine’s ability to make heavy roughing cuts. It uses an array of bright, ultra-efficient LEDs to create a well-lit work area, and an LED strip along the bottom of the sliding door indicates machine status at a glance.

What’s new? The M20 Millturn, which debuted at EMO 2021 this month.

Benefits The ability to deal with difficult materials. The machine has a turning-boring-milling unit with a turning output of up to 44 kilowatts (kW) and a milling spindle with a turning output of up to 25 kW and 20,000 rpm, allowing it to handle hard-to-machine materials with ease. The M20 also has a wide range of automation options, and can work with articulated robots, gantry loaders or an integrated production cell with the associated peripheral equipment.
