German automation manufacturer Kuka, well known for its robots and autonomous vehicles, announced a new business unit at Automate 2025 called Kuka Digital to expand its focus on software and digital solutions across the entire production cycle.

It will make it easier for customers to adopt digital transformation by providing scalable solutions, consulting services and integration-ready tools.

The company said the new venture will support manufacturers through software, connectivity and AI regardless of equipment brands.

Kuka already markets Device Insight for data analytics and Visual Components for 3D simulation and offline programming. It is adding Mosaixx, a new, open-cloud platform designed for industrial software as a service. Mosaixx supports ECAD/MCAD programs, simulations and virtual commissioning.
