Slide Products announced the appointment of Betsi Burns as sales manager, effective Jan. 1. She joined the Wheeling, Ill.-based provider of mold releases, mold cleaners and ancillary products for plastics processors a bit more than three years ago, bringing with her more than 22 years of experience in the mold and die making industry.
She has a wide-ranging professional background, from working in real estate and at a PR/marketing firm specializing in the travel industry, to her eventual entry into the injection molding and mold making sectors with a role at Boride Engineered Abrasives.
Michael Muth, who had served as president and sales manager until Burns’ promotion, will be better able to focus on the company’s overall direction and spearhead larger projects that are necessary to meet future endeavors and challenges. His title has officially been changed to president and chief strategist.
“Betsi will take over the daily support of Slide’s sales team, offering her history and vast skillset to enable us to continue to offer best-in-industry knowledge and support,” Muth said. “I am excited to see where Betsi helps to lead Slide as we begin this next chapter in our company’s history.”
