Beckhoff USA, based in Savage, Minn., announced the promotion of Daymon Thompson to the role of director of product management.  

He has more than two decades of experience in automation and industrial-controls applications, having spent years in the new technologies group with multinational medical-device manufacturer DePuy Synthes, West Chester, Pa. He came to Beckhoff in 2011 as an applications engineer before rising to North American product manager for TwinCAT automation software. 

In his new role, Thompson will leverage his experience as an advocate for innovation in manufacturing to lead new product initiatives across Beckhoff’s entire portfolio.  

Based out of the company’s Denver-area office, he reports to President Kevin Barker. With U.S. headquarters in Savage, Minn., Beckhoff supplies industrial-control and automation products.
