The Plastics Industry Association (PLASTICS) announced the winners of its first-ever PLASTICS Member Engagement Awards at its 2021 spring meeting, which was held May 17-19.
PLASTICS President and CEO Tony Radoszewski presented the awards to honorees Kevin Cronin, VP of sustainability and R&D at Ultra-Poly Corp., Portland, Pa.; Stan Glover, director of technical sales at Zeiger Industries in Canton, Ohio; and Michael Cirone, president of Manar Inc., Edinburgh, Ind.
Radoszewski said the awards recognize association members whose dedication to the plastics industry goes above and beyond. Cronin was recognized for quickly becoming deeply involved with PLASTICS, including his service as the 2021 chair of the association’s recycling committee, and his role developing a case study on an Ultra-Poly recycling program. Glover, who has been involved with PLASTICS for 30 years, helped develop machinery safety standards at the state, federal and international levels. Cirone is a member of the PLASTICS board of directors and currently chairs the PLASTICS processors council.
“It is extremely important to recognize members who have provided outstanding service to the association and to the industry overall,” Radoszewski said. “The PLASTICS Member Engagement Awards are an opportunity to provide that well-deserved recognition this year and in years to come.”
