Garner Industries LLC will soon operate under the name BinMaster Sensors and Technologies LLC, reflecting the company’s focus on advanced sensors, software and operational technologies.
“While our name is changing, our values and our commitment to excellence remain the same,” said Scott Hudson, president of the Lincoln, Neb., company. “The BinMaster Sensors and Technologies name represents who we are today and where we’re going — a company that builds on a proud legacy while embracing innovation and new opportunities to serve our customers better.”
Garner Industries was founded in 1953 as a metal machining shop and later added custom injection molding services. The BinMaster product line began with level sensors in the early 1960s.
When Plastics Machinery & Manufacturing profiled the company in 2019, its molding and machining side specialized in small to medium-sized plastic parts, including parts for satellites and the space shuttle. At that time, BinMaster products accounted for about half of the company’s annual revenue.
In April 2024, an F3 tornado destroyed its 115,000-square-foot facility in less than 20 seconds. The company opened a new office within a few months, rebuilding production to continue serving BinMaster customers with minimal interruption.
Since then, the company has acquired Senix, a maker of ultrasonic sensing technology, and HerdStar, the manufacturer of BinTrac feed and industrial bin weighing systems and MicroZone livestock heating control systems. BinMaster Sensors and Technologies now operates from facilities in Lincoln and in Mankato, Minn.
BinMaster manufactures technologies for material management and processes, such as level sensors, inventory software, weighing systems and ultrasonic solutions.
