BinMaster opens new plant following tornado

Aug. 12, 2024
Level-sensor maker continues to recover from devastating April storm.

BinMaster announced that, following an F3 tornado that decimated its 115,000-square-foot facility in less than 20 seconds on April 26, it moved to new offices in mid-July and is again assembling products.

The new plant, located at the Innovation Campus at the University of Lincoln, is only a few miles from the company’s original Lincoln, Neb., location. BinMaster was back to assembling its level sensors and wireless devices  within just three weeks of the storm.

“Our swift recovery is a testament to the unity and commitment of our entire team,” said Scott McLain, president of Garner Industries and BinMaster, a brand manufactured by Garner Industries. “We couldn't have done it without the unwavering support of our vendor partners and the resilience of our IT infrastructure that preserved our history.”

BinMaster also announced that Collin Humphrey has joined the company as its new engineering manager, a move that was already slated before the tornado struck. Humphrey will oversee the efforts of the long-term team that designs, certifies and enhances BinMaster products.
