LS Mtron expands Chicago-area Technical Center
LS Mtron Injection Molding Machines, which is aiming to increase its North American market share in 2026 to 20 percent, continues to increase its footprint in the U.S.
The injection molding machine maker has expanded its Chicago Technical Center in Wood Dale, Illinois, taking over the entire building after sharing the space since 2018 with Daiichi Jitsugyo America (DJA), which has had a distribution agreement with the company.
The company plans to use its additional space to accommodate growing customer service demands. It also will expand its existing engineering, project management, sales and service departments. Eventually, the facility will play host to open houses and training functions.
To more quickly serve customers, stock IMMs are being housed in the additional space.
LS Mtron officials have discussed eventually expanding production into the U.S.
