LS Mtron has announced a new hire and several partnerships with independent dealers, expanding its sales organization in the U.S. and Latin America.

Robert Herman has been named regional sales manager for the Northeast. He brings more than 40 years of experience spanning engineering, sales and technical solutions, and most recently served as a key account manager for Piovan/Unadyn. He replaces Mitch Fournier, who has retired.

LS Mtron also has added agents to its independent sales network:

  • Butch Chojnacki, of Precision Plastics Equipment, Parkville, Mo., who will cover Missouri, Iowa, Kansas and Nebraska.
  • Michael Green, of Cincinnati Process Technologies, LLC.
  • Blake Snee, of Southeastern Polymer Machinery, who is based in Tampa and will cover Florida.

“Our goal is to be close to our customers. Whether they're evaluating new equipment, troubleshooting an application or planning future capacity, we want experienced people available to help them make informed decisions,” said LS Mtron President Paul Caprio.

With headquarters in Duluth, Ga., LS Mtron sells injection molding machines made by its South Korean parent company, LG Corp.
