Robots Wittmann Battenfeld’s robot lineup includes linear robots, sprue pickers and complete in-mold-labeling solutions. Its W9 Series and WX Series robots are available with fixed and moving demolding axes as well as optional pneumatic or servo rotational axes. The company’s Sonic series of ultra-high-speed robots for part removal permits injection mold opening times of less than 1 second.

Launched in the U.S. at the end of April, the R9.1 is now available on all the company’s robots except for the economy Primus line for pick-and-place applications. Over the last year, Wittmann has worked with its customers, technicians, engineers and software team to make programming easier through the new R9.1 QuickNew Wizard guided programming tool. The company has added many functions and features and has updated the graphics for video-assisted programming. Existing robots with the previous R9 control can upgrade to the R9.1 platform with a software update.

Benefits Enhanced functionality, more customization and easier programming. The R9.1 QuickNew Wizard provides four levels of user access, allowing simple programming of increasingly complex tasks based on the experience level and skills of the user.
