ATI downsizes robotic tool changer

The QC-29 brings the performance of its larger-robot tool changers to robots ranging from 55 pounds to 77 pounds.

Robotic tool changer ATI develops and manufactures a wide range of robotic accessories and end-of-arm tooling (EOAT). Its product range includes robotic tool changers, which attach a robot arm to a range of EOAT, and allow simple, automated changes to different EOAT.

What’s new? It is the company’s first standard tool changer with a rectangular body that can mount directly to 40mm and 50mm robot wrists. It also features a new locking mechanism.

Benefits Rugged construction and repeatability. The QC-29’s Zero-Freeplay design boosts tool-changing efficiency, and it includes in-body lock/unlock sensing. It is compatible with ATI’s standard utility modules and tool stands, and can be configured to handle a wide range of EOAT.
