The move offers access to growing markets in Mexico as well as the Port of Houston.

The San Antonio Economic Development Foundation announced that Nissei America will relocate its U.S. headquarters from Anaheim, Calif., to its San Antonio facility in July. The move will consolidate the company’s sales and production operations under one roof.

“San Antonio presents great advantages for our U.S. headquarters in its accessibility and environment,” said Hozumi Yoda, president of Nissei Plastic Industrial Co. Ltd. “San Antonio’s central location offers easy and quick access to other areas in the U.S., rapidly growing markets in Mexico, and its close proximity to the Port of Houston opens broader access to Central and South America as well as Europe.”

Nissei opened the $21 million, 115,000-square-foot San Antonio facility in 2018, and it was built on a 9-acre site. Nissei originally built the facility to assemble its hybrid injection molding machines.
