Injection molding machine supplier Netstal Inc. moved into new headquarters in Hebron, Ky., and Doug Haberman was chosen to serve as president of the newly established U.S. subsidiary of Netstal Maschinen AG.

The move to the new facility, which will serve as administrative hub for the U.S. and Canada, took place at the beginning of March.

Haberman has 30 years of experience in the plastics industry, working for both machinery and materials suppliers. Between 1996 and 2007, Haberman worked in a variety of roles in injection molding machine sales at KraussMaffei Corp. Since 2007, he has held leadership positions at Audia Group of Companies, a compounding and color masterbatch company. Most recently, he managed Audia’s European business from Slovakia.

His new role with Netstal has returned him to the U.S., where he will be responsible for providing support to customers in the U.S. and Canada and for expanding the company’s business in North America.

The Hebron facility will include a machine demonstration area as well as warehousing capacity for a growing spare parts inventory. Future plans include a separate space to refurbish machines. Netstal Inc. currently has 24 employees; Haberman said the company is recruiting more sales and field service talent.

“Strong customer relationships and application expertise are key components of the culture we want to build,” Haberman said. “I believe in leading from the front, and my first objective is get out and meet as many of our customers in person as possible. It is exciting to be part of re-launching the brand that is synonymous with high-speed molding. … While we will focus on packaging and health care markets, any real high-volume application is a potential Netstal customer.”

Renzo Davatz, CEO of Netstal and member of the executive committee of the KraussMaffei Group, said, “I am very pleased to welcome Doug Haberman as our president for the North American organization of Netstal. Doug’s clear focus on our customers combined with a team-oriented winner mentality will be important elements for future growth in the U.S. and Canada as one of Netstal’s core markets.”
