Plustech Inc., which distributes Sodick injection molding equipment, has moved into a newly built facility in Elk Grove Village, Ill. The facility boasts 138,000 square feet of space and includes a 17,000-square-foot turn-key robotics lab, offices, conference rooms and 50,000 square feet of warehouse space.
It also has a 13,000-square-foot showroom that can accommodate up to 30 machines. Plustech said it will be able to run 35 to 40 mold trials a year with the increase in showroom space.
Plustech is a joint venture of Sodick and Yamazen Inc., which offers a broad range of machine tools. Plustech joined Yamazen in the new facility, which Yamazen moved into in October. Both companies were previously headquartered in Schaumburg, Ill.
