Jessica Poliner has been named president of Barnes Molding Solutions, beginning in her new role on Jan. 1. Poliner, who began her career as a lawyer, has more than 15 years of in global leadership roles at Caterpillar and Thermo King. She first joined Barnes Group in 2012 as VP and GM, European Operations, Synventive.
She replaced Norbert Scheid, who retired in December after a 47-year career in the plastics molding industry.
Based in Bristol, Conn., Barnes Group Inc. includes strategic business unit Barnes Molding Solutions, which includes injection molding tooling, hot runner and controls brands Synventive, Thermoplay, Männer, Foboha, Priamus and Gammaflux.
