Upgraded robot tends large injection molding machines

The WX153 from Wittmann Battenfeld has upgrades that allow two robots to operate closer together while being controlled by the same R9 TeachBox controller.

WX153 This Wittmann Battenfeld robot is appropriate for tending injection molding machines with clamping forces ranging from 550 tons to 1,430 tons and has a standard load capacity of 66 poundsThe robot’s vertical axis has a stroke length of up to 8.5 feet, and the company can provide the horizontal Z-axis with a stroke of up to 59 feetThe robot’s X-axis now comes with stroke lengths of either 4 feet or 4.6 feet. 

What’s new? A redesign that incorporates a smaller controller box. This allows two robots to operate closer together while being controlled by the same R9 TeachBox controller, which can govern as many as 12 axes simultaneously.
