Mitutoyo's Crysta-Apex V series coordinate measuring machines can handle a wide range of measurements and workpieces, including injection molds.

Crysta-Apex V series Mitutoyo’s latest coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) combine vision, laser, surface-finish and scanning probe technologies. They can handle a wide range of measurements and workpieces, including injection molds.

What’s new? The V series, which incorporates cutting-edge IoT capabilities and is the newest generation of the Crysta-Apex line. The series encompasses 10 models and three widths, enabling measurement of small to mid-sized workpieces. Additionally, its new temperature-compensation system features independent sensors that work together to measure the temperatures of the device’s scale, the workpiece and ambient temperature, to compensate for thermal expansion.

Benefits Accurate, repeatable, high-speed measurement that improves productivity and reduces downtime. The machines are the fastest, most accurate, precise and versatile among the company’s stable of CNC CMMs. They let users freely set measurement paths along 3-D forms, enabling the measurement of intricate workpieces.
