These resistance temperature detectors from Harold G. Schaevitz can be mounted onto the surface of an extruder barrel or die, or onto an injection molding machine nozzle, hot runner or mold.

SMBD-RTD These resistance temperature detectors (RTDs) from Harold G. Schaevitz can be mounted onto the surface of an extruder barrel or die, or onto an injection molding machine nozzle, hot runner or mold. They have an operating temperature range of minus 50 degrees to 500 degrees Fahrenheit. They are suitable for testing applications, manufacturing engineering, R&D and production environments.

What’s new? The size and the way they are affixed. The miniature sensors are designed for use in tight spaces and feature an aluminum fitting that can be bolted down or cemented to most surfaces. SMBD stands for “surface mount bolt down.”

Benefits Reliable temperature measurement in tight spaces.
