Inductive proximity sensors Carlo Gavazzi’s sensors can be used to detect the presence or absence of metal parts. The sensors can be used to detect moving machine parts while ignoring the presence of plastics. They can be installed by both OEMs and equipment users.

What’s new? The IBS04, ICS05 and ICS08 series of sensors, for limited-space, industrial automation applications, and the ICB12, ICB18 and ICB30 sensors, for the contactless and wear-free detection of metallic objects. The IBS04, ICS05 and ICS08 sensors have detection distances ranging from 0.8mm to 4mm. Available in nickel-plated brass housings, the ICB12, ICB18 and ICB30 sensors offer a sensing range of between 4mm and 22mm. The new sensors offer I/O communications and record data, such as runtime. The sensors were designed specifically for the plastics, materials-handling, packaging and machine-tools markets.

Benefits I/O communications capability. Once they are set up, the sensors can be easily configured with new functionalities, including speed monitoring.
