PVM-1500 Charles Ross & Son Co.’s 1,500-gallon multi-shaft mixer can be used by compounders that work with medium- or high-viscosity materials, such as PE, polyethersulfone, PP and PVC. The pictured version features three independently driven agitators, a screw auger, a high-speed disperser and a three-wing anchor agitator.

What’s new? A version, released in December, that features an improved dual-post hydraulic lift and a new seal design.

Benefits Lower cost of operation. The smaller, higher-pressure pump on its hydraulic lift uses less oil and is easier to maintain. It also raises and lowers the agitators faster, which shortens processing time. The new seals can be replaced without removing the agitator shafts, an improvement over previous designs.
