EinScan Pro 2X and EinScan Pro 2X Plus These portable scanners from Shining 3D Technology can be used to scan small and medium-sized objects for applications such as modeling and quality assurance. Of the two, the EinScan Pro 2X Plus is the fastest, scanning 1.1 million points per second when used in hand-held mode, compared to 100,000 points per second for the base model. When used in fixed-scan mode, the EinScan Pro 2X Plus also is the fastest of the two, taking one scan in less than 0.5 second, compared with one scan in less than a second for the EinScan Pro 2X. When used in hand-held, rapid-scan mode, both devices can scan up to 1.5 million points per second.

What’s new? The scanners, which Shining 3D introduced in November at Formnext in Germany. They employ new software called ExScan Pro.
