Sodick's GL30A-LP micro-molding machine has 33 tons of clamping force and is used in medical molding; Sodick is looking to expand its use in the electronics and automotive industries.

GL30A-LP Sodick's flagship micro-molding machine has 33 tons of clamping force and is used in medical molding; Sodick is looking to expand its use in the electronics and automotive industries. It features the V-Line two-stage plunger system, which separates the plasticization and injection processes. It is available in the U.S. via the North American branch of Sodick's injection molding machinery division, Plustech Inc.

What's new? The Global Platform version. Rather than building different machines from scratch for each end market, Sodick's Global Platform machines are built in batches with identical core components and performance stats. Each press is finished individually, with details like wire color codes, location of breakers, etc., tailored to the standards of its destination (OSHA for U.S., CE for Europe, etc.).

Benefits A lower price for an equivalent performance level. Global Platform machines are less expensive than standard Sodick models.
