Sodick's new MS100 all-electric injection molding machine has 110 tons of clamping force.

MS100 Sodick's new injection molding machine has 110 tons of clamping force. It features the proprietary V-Line two-stage plunger system, which separates consistent material preparation by the screw from dosing on the plunger side, and is suited for applications with tight tolerances. Sodick is represented in North America by Plustech Inc. 

What's new? The press, part of  Sodick's new all-electric line, which will make its U.S. debut at NPE2018. The clamping mechanism's toggle design is also new. The company plans to demonstrate the machine molding a printer ink cartridge housing to show the benefits of 3-D cooling channels in a conformal cooling mold. 

Benefits Faster cycle times, and a 30 percent drop in energy usage, compared to previous machines with a hybrid drive system.
