Sodick press gains global platform version
GL60A Sodick's 66-ton horizontal molding machine features its two-stage V-Line plunger system for consistent shot volumes and melt densities. It can manage shot sizes ranging as low as 10 percent of its maximum, and the clamping force can be set as low as 5 percent of the maximum. In the U.S., the machine is available through Plustech Inc., the North American branch of Sodick's Injection Molding Machinery Division.
What's new? The Global Platform version of this model. Sodick's Global Platform machines match the performance of their predecessors at a lower price. Rather than building versions tailored to each country's standards, these machines can be built efficiently in batches, with an identical foundation of core components. Each press is then finished individually, with such things as wire color codes and location of breakers tailored to the standards of the country in which it will be operating.
Benefits A lower price with no sacrifice of performance. Also, the GL60A has Internet of Things (IoT) functionality, including monitoring, maintenance service, control and analysis capabilities.
