MicroPower 15/10H/10H Wittmann Battenfeld has extended its MicroPower line of all-electric injection molding machines for small and micro parts. With shot volumes of up to 4 cubic centimeters, MicroPower machines are designed to provide a thermally homogenous melt, which is critical for producing parts with extremely small structures. The new model features two injection units and a rotary disc, which separates the injection side from the automation side, allowing the finished parts to be handled by a robot, while the next injection cycle begins.
What's new? The machine and its ability to mold parts with multiple components. MicroPower 15/10H/10H was introduced at Wittmann Battenfeld's 40th anniversary celebration in June, where it was molding a two-component micro part from polyoxymethylene in a single-cavity mold.
Benefits Precision parts and efficiency. Because it produces a thermally homogenous melt, the machine creates fewer rejects and provides more stability of part dimensions. Its short cycle times and reduced energy consumption result in cost savings of 30 to 50 percent, compared to standard machines.
