Aurex measuring system adds Quality Check

The Inoex software detects even minimal anomalies in single-layer and coextruded pipes and tubes.

Aurex This range of ultrasonic systems from Inoex combines high accuracy with simple operation for wall thickness and diameter measurement. It can reliably measure single-layer and coextruded pipes and tubes down to a layer thickness of 0.05mm. Aurex systems are available for geometry measurement from 0.5mm to 3,000mm diameter and for 100 percent wall thickness measurement and flaw detection of pipes as big as 630mm around.

What’s new? The availability of Inoex’s Quality Check software option to detect surface, material and inner surface anomalies. At the K show, Inoex demonstrated the Quality Check feature on an Aurex ERS 63which uses a measurement method based on the Electronic Rotating Scanner (ERS) principle. This method records 100 percent of every point on the measured object in the longitudinal and circumferential directions.

Benefits The detection of even minimal tolerance deviations. The Quality Check feature can detect surface flaws, such as indents, scratches, inclusions and holes, as well as structural defects. According to Inoex, the Aurex technology is very accurate and easy to use.
