Sikora GM Alaaddin Aydin takes over as CEO
Christian Frank, general manager at Sikora GmbH, has handed operational responsibility as CEO to Alaaddin Aydin, also general manager, as of July 1.
Going forward, Frank will focus on strategic development, overseeing a smooth transition and pursuing potential acquisitions and growth initiatives for Sikora. He will leave the company at the end of 2027 to pursue other opportunities.
“By arranging the succession early on, we are creating continuity and ensuring that Sikora can consistently continue on its successful path. At the same time, I am looking forward to focusing more strongly on the strategic development of the company and new growth opportunities in the near future,” Frank said.
As CEO, Aydin will take over business areas including R&D, operations and finance. Holger Lieder, also a member of Sikora’s general management, retains responsibility for sales, service, marketing and internal services.
“Sikora has a strong team, a clear direction and promising future prospects in the field of measurement and control systems,” Aydin said. “I look forward to shaping the next steps in our development together with the team and capitalizing on the opportunities that lie ahead.”
Aydin will also continue to serve as VP of Sikora parent company Maag Germany. Thorsten Thuemen has taken over day-to-day operations of Maag Germany as Managing Director effective July 1.
Sikora is investing in a new building, and the R&D team is being expanded. Concurrently, M&A opportunities are being evaluated to expand the portfolio.
The company, based in Bremen, Germany, manufactures measurement, control, inspection and sorting systems. It was acquired by Maag Group, part of the Dover Corp., in 2025.
Recent product introductions include the Laser Pro for quality control of extruded hoses, and the X-Ray 6000 Pro C-Pipe AI for testing corrugated pipe.
