FlexPack An optional module that can minimize coating thickness is now available for this extrusion coating and laminating line from SML. The process is suited to the manufacture of a number of products, including surgical drapes, protective clothing, hygiene products and roofing underlays.

Benefits The ability to create very thin, breathable layers, reducing material costs, while maintaining perfect adhesion to the substrate. For example, the DoubleCoat process can achieve a 7-micron TPE coating layer on a PP nonwoven substrate—a thickness that's about one-quarter of the current average.
