BluePower KraussMaffei has improved the energy efficiency of its RimStar and EcoStar mixing and metering equipment for PU processing with its BluePower system. BluePower uses intelligent controls and mechanical systems to optimize equipment operation. For example, the controls incorporate algorithms that allow the equipment to reach the operating state as quickly as possible. The mechanical systems include optimized nozzle geometries in the mixing head for achieving better mixing quality at a low pressure.
What's new? BluePower is now standard on RimStar and EcoStar equipment at no extra cost. Additionally, existing RimStar and EcoStar equipment can be retrofitted with BluePower technology.
Benefits Up to 30 percent energy savings. The system automatically shuts off the metering pump drive if the equipment is idle for a set period, or toggles it to a lower pressure output after it is done filling. Also, the machines gain pressure rapidly for high productivity.
