fiberEX 93-34D This latest model in Battenfeld-Cincinnati's fiberEx parallel twin-screw extruder series, designed specifically for wood-plastic composites, is particularly suited for outputs of up to 400 kilograms per hour. The company demonstrated the new model at the 10th Wood-Plastic Composites Conference, held Nov. 3-5 in Vienna, producing a hollow profile of PVC filled with 50 percent rice husks and reaching an output of 380 kg per hour.
What's new? The 93mm screw diameter and 34D processing length. The fiberEX 93-34D offers options for direct addition of colorants, degassing and flexibility in plasticizing. Its air power cooling system ensures even barrel temperatures and homogeneous melt temperatures.
Benefits The potential for reduced material costs, especially in decking, by the ability to use low-cost fillers like rice husks and recycled fibers and to produce hollow profiles.
