Amid a flurry of construction projects to accommodate growth, the Wittmann Group, based in Austria, has reported sales of about $475 million for 2017 — an increase of more than 7 percent over the previous year.
More than 2,300 people work for the group, which is made up of Wittmann Kunststoffgeräte GmbH, headquartered in Vienna, and Wittmann Battenfeld, headquartered in Kottingbrunn. The companies expected that expansions of facilities in Nuremberg, Germany, and the Czech Republic would be completed last month. And, a new building is expected to be completed in Kottingbrunn later this year, with construction on a new facility slated for the near future in France.
In all, the group, which makes primary processing machines and automation systems for injection molders, operates eight production facilities, with more than 33 direct-subsidiary offices located around the globe.
