KraussMaffei Group, Munich, and Roctool SA, Le Bourget du Lac, France, have announced that they will work together to globally market Roctool's HD Plastics inductive mold-heating technology. Under the agreement, KraussMaffei will offer HD Plastics as an option on its injection molding machines in conjunction with its Dynamic Mold Heating (DMH) technology. The HD Plastics/DMH combination is suited for the production of components with premium-quality surfaces without the need for decorated films or painting, KraussMaffei said. The technology helps to eliminate weld lines and offers flow length extension, quick cycle times and no temperature limit for any plastic materials. At an open house in July in Queretaro, Mexico, KraussMaffei demonstrated the capabilities of Roctool's inductive mold-heating technology by molding a decorated box cover on a PX 160-540 all-electric press
