GMax 2 PRO This large-format 3-D printer from gCreate uses fused deposition modeling (FDM) technology and has a build volume of 1.5 feet by 1.5 feet by 2 feet. It has an industrial-strength frame, steel linear rails and an all-metal hotend that can print at up to 662 degrees Fahrenheit. It is compatible with more than 30 types of materials. A rolling cart with locking casters is optional.

What’s new? The printer, which hit the market this summer. New features include a toolhead that can print two materials out of a single nozzle and a print bed made from glass-fiber-reinforced resin. It has a full-color touch screen and an improved sensor for detecting when filament runs out.

Benefits Precise heating. The heated build surface exhibits excellent thermal stability, even at high temperatures. Users can adjust temperatures per layer, fine-tune the heating cycle and turn off the print bed remotely. Additionally, the GMax 2 PRO’s TMC2130 stepper drivers are designed for silent operation at fast speeds.
