There is a new player in the North American thermoforming machinery market.
Tech-Long International Inc., has signed an agreement to sell and service thermoforming and related equipment from Asano Laboratories Co. Ltd., based in Japan. Asano Laboratories has been building thermoforming processing machinery since 1953.
Keith Boss, CEO of Tech-Long International in Suwanee, Ga., said the “Asano Lab machine is world-class, and we are world-class in parts and service, making the partnership perfect for this local market.”
Tech-Long is a major supplier of a wide range of packaging machinery, including blow molding machinery. It did not previously have thermoforming machinery in its portfolio. It also distributes equipment manufactured by Guangzhou Tech-Long Packaging Machinery Co. Ltd. in China.
Asano Laboratories builds thermoforming machines for plastic packaging products such as food containers and lids. It has turnkey solutions for thermoforming technology with forming, punch press and downstream automation.
The agreement covers North and South America and allows Asano to expand its presence in those regions. Tech-Long has parts-stocking capacity in Georgia and a national network of service technicians. It will offer customers training and 24-hour technical support.
“Working with Tech-Long International Inc. allows Asano to enter the market with the help of a service organization that understands the demands of our customers,” said Toshihiro Takai, president of Asano Laboratories, in a news release.
