Eagle-LP The Eagle-LP (short for “Lab Pack”) blister packaging machine from Maruho Hatsujyo Innovations (MHI) is specifically intended for stability testing, clinical trials and initial small-batch production. The Eagle-LP can run up to 20 cycles per minute, and is capable of both thermoforming and cold foil forming.
What’s new? Versatility. The Eagle-LP is designed to accommodate more sustainable film substrates that are typically more difficult to form and seal. It easily works with PVC, polyvinylidene chloride (PVDC), PET, ACLAR and PP. MHI will showcase the Eagle-LP at Pack Expo in November.
Benefits Cost-effectiveness. The Eagle-LP provides pharmaceutical manufacturers with a modestly priced option that can be dedicated to conducting stability testing and clinical trials all the way through small-batch ramp-up production. It has a small footprint, and negates the need for full-size equipment.
