Corona-treating unit gets increased power

3DT's upgraded FlexiDyne Pro corona-treating system uses a corona aura to bond surface treatments, such as inks, adhesives and coatings, to a wide variety of plastics.

FlexiDyne Pro 3DT's upgraded corona-treating system uses a corona aura to bond surface treatments, such as inks, adhesives and coatings, to a wide variety of plastics. Components of the system include a corona generator, high-voltage transformer, enclosed treatment station, conveyor belt, touch-screen-accessible control system and ozone-filtration system.

What's new? Upgrades to the system's electrical and mechanical design. With them, the system offers both greater power, as well as adjustability of power.

Benefits The ability to produce higher surface energy levels and handle even larger parts, such as large container lids, mirror housings and large labware. With the upgrades, the system — which was formerly limited to treating small, flat parts — now can handle 1.5-inch-high, 12-inch-wide parts. It can produce very consistent, reliable surface energy quickly.
