NCR-80 BinMaster has a new version of its NCR-80 noncontact sensor, which uses 80 gigahertz radar to measure the level of plastic pellets, powders and flakes in various types of vessels. Its 4-degree radar beam and 393-foot measurement range make it especially suited for tall, narrow silos. The narrow beam avoids the material flow stream, internal structures of the vessel or sidewall buildup for accurate measurements. The NCR-80 performs reliably even in environments with dense dust, high temperatures and noise. The device comes with three housing options: plastic, stainless steel and aluminum.
What's new? The mounting. The new version has a 1.5-inch national pipe thread taper (NPT) mounting. Prior models in the line feature angled mounting plates and swiveling mounts.
Benefits Easy, fast and economical installation via an opening that is commonly found on many types of vessels, eliminating the need to drill a hole or add a mounting flange.
