New Emerson transmitter is safe, reliable

Rosemount 5408 Emerson Automation Solutions' newest noncontact radar level transmitter is designed to simplify tank monitoring, process control and overfill protection. Its two-wire, frequency-modulated, continuous wave technology uses a continuous echo to maximize radar signal strength, and its radar-on-chip construction eliminates the signal disturbance caused by circuit boards. Onboard diagnostics assist with preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.

What's new? The transmitter, which became available in April.
