This four-axis SCARA robot can be fully integrated into the CC300 control unit of its injection molding machines.

easix Engel is expanding its easix line of robots to include four-axis SCARA versions that can be fully integrated into the CC300 control unit of its injection molding machines. The new models come in three configurations, with maximum horizontal reaches of about 15.8 inches, 23.6 inches and 31.5 inches. Their load capacity is 15.8 pounds.

What's new? The four-axis design.

Benefits Efficiency and cost savings. For pick-and-place operations, gripper loading, conveyor tracking, stacking and palletizing, four-axis SCARA robots are faster and cheaper than six-axis robots. Also, because the robot is integrated as a system component, the injection molding machine and robot automatically coordinate their movements, eliminating delays caused by communication interfaces and improving overall efficiency.
