BinMaster enhances its transmitter
GWR-2000 BinMaster's new guided-microwave level transmitter provides continuous level and volume measurement of powders, pellets, granules and other bulk solids. It is appropriate for use in containers made of plastic, steel or cement; its sensing cable allows it to operate in narrow, corrugated or chambered vessels up to 100 feet tall. The transmitter is mounted on the top of the vessel and a stainless steel cable is suspended to the bottom. The transmitter emits a high-frequency microwave pulse that is guided along the cable until it reaches the surface of the material and is reflected back to the sensor head. Each GWR-2000 is made to order with a custom-length cable. Three housing materials are available: plastic, stainless steel and aluminum.
What's new? The device, which is replacing the GWR-1000. The GWR-2000 has new optional features, including approval for use in hazardous locations, compliance with the Modbus RTU communications protocol, and the BinDisc interface for simple push-button setup and system configuration without the need for an ancillary programming device.
Benefits Accurate measuring in challenging conditions. The device's high-resolution signal processing allows for accurate level measurement almost to the top of the vessel, with only about 3 inches of dead space. It is ideal for use in locations with excessive steam, condensation or dust and requires almost no maintenance.
