PowerWeld 6600 LPKF has enhanced its PowerWeld 6600 stand-alone laser plastic-welding system, which is suited for medium- to high-volume production.

What's new? Numerous upgrades, including an improved overall design and the ProSet 3D CAM software, which the company plans to show at the K show. The software works autonomously to recommend welding paths based on CAD data. The software's integrated editor can make manual adjustments to waypoints and welding parameters. Also, the system has a new touch-screen HMI, called WeldPro.

Benefits Easy process setup and faster processing. The software can create welding paths from component layouts in minutes. Also, the system's design changes make maintenance easier.
