Sentra mold temperature control unit (TCU) Advantage Engineering's TCUs with Temptender touch screens are now compatible with more injection molding machines. The company makes both water TCUs, which offer temperature control from 30 to 300 degrees Fahrenheit, and oil TCUs, which have a temperature control range of 100 to 500 degrees Fahrenheit. They are available in a wide range of pump, heater and control configurations.
What's new? The addition of TCUs meeting the Euromap 66 machine-to-peripheral control specifications. Though SPI protocols are more common in the U.S., the availability of Euromap 66-compatible units provides Advantage Engineering machine users more flexibility.
Benefits Greater usability. Having a shared protocol allows TCUs and injection molding machines to share valuable information about parameters, such as set point, actual temperature and alarm conditions.
