ABB adds smaller robots that can be mounted on tabletops

With the introduction of its first line of SCARA robots, ABB has added to its portfolio of small robots. 

IRB 910SC With the introduction of its first line of SCARA robots, ABB has added to its portfolio of small robots. Available with reaches of 450, 550 and 650mm and a payload of about 13 pounds, the robots are ideal for small parts assembly, materials handling and parts inspection. Other applications include component placement and laboratory automation. They have an IP54 rating for dust and liquid resistance.

What's new? The line, which was introduced in February.

Benefits Flexibility, accuracy and small footprint. The tabletop-mountable robots are modular, with different linking arm lengths. They are designed for rapid cycle times and reliable, precise movements.
