optoNCDT 1420 Micro-Epsilon's newest sensor is suitable for high-volume and OEM applications, such as dynamic acceleration tasks on machine axes or pick-and-place movements involving robot arms. Using a high-performance lens, it provides very precise displacement, distance and position readings. Measuring ranges of 10mm, 25mm and 50mm are currently available. The device can store and export as many as eight user settings.

What's new? The device, which has been on the market for a few months. It offers an extremely small laser spot size and measurement of minute details. With its compact head, it can be installed in tight spaces.
