Coperion K-Tron says the latest version of its D5 scale is appropriate for all production environments.

D5 scale Coperion K-Tron says the latest version of its D5 scale is appropriate for all production environments. Two models are available — a stainless steel version and a pharmaceutical version featuring polished material contact surfaces. The upgraded D5 is compatible with the older scale, so parts are interchangeable.

What's new? The design, which went into production in August. It features a weighing module that is attached to the scale body, rather than to a mounting fixture, which was part of the old design.

Benefits Greater weighing sensitivity, especially with heavier loads. The scale's design is more stable, making it more resistant to damage or errors due to short periods of overload. Also, though still not completely sealed or appropriate for clean-room applications, the new design is capable of more hygienic operation than its predecessor.
