Model 3050 Press Sonics has introduced a welding system that produces ultrasonic vibrations at 30 kHz. It comes on a rigid, single-piece cast aluminum base and hub with in-line load cell for precise force triggering, single-rail linear slide and 360-degree converter alignment.
What's new? The press is Sonics' first benchtop system using a 30 kHz frequency. In addition, the 1,200-watt Model 3050 is more energy efficient than some of Sonics' past offerings.

Features include microprocessor control, digital amplitude control, automatic frequency tuning, multiple job storage and a display showing frequency settings and status of welds. Other features include digital force triggering, calibration pulse, ultrasonics load meter scale and upper-lower weld-limit settings.
