EcoPack Picvisa’s series of optical sorters automatically sorts and separates objects by color and form for recycling. Named for their widths in millimeters, the series’ five sorters are available in five sizes and, if desired by the customer, packaged with a conveyor. Each is about 24.7 feet long.

What’s new? A variety of recent upgrades, including improved sorting algorithms within the software and the addition of inductive sensors that determine whether the blowing bar is open or closed. In addition, Picvisa has added a control for the rotation and speed of the conveyor and improved the user interface; a new folding gangway provides easier access for maintenance.

Benefits Recovery rates of up to 95 percent. With its new algorithms, the machine can now distinguish PET bottles from PET trays, and monolayer materials from multilayer materials.
