Kurtz GmbH garners recycling award

Kurtz GmbH, Kreuzwertheim, Germany, was honored for outstanding achievements and best practices in the recycling of expanded PS (EPS) by the EPS Industry Alliance. At the annual Excellence in EPS Recycling Awards ceremony, held virtually this year, members of the Crofton, Md.-based association chose Kurtz for the new radio-frequency fusion technology of its Wave Foamer. It produces molded parts with 70 percent recycled material, while offering energy savings of up to 90 percent compared to the conventional steam process.
